Shine & Strength

A unisex shampoo for all hair types, this soothing concoction is perfect for those with sensitive skin and scalp, as well as psoriasis or eczema. Most importantly, it leaves your hair feeling brilliantly soft and looking remarkably shiny. It contains our signature anti-oxidant rich sea buckthorn berry oil, which gives hair strength and shine (the Latin name for sea buckthorn, ‘Hippophae rhamnoides’, means ‘shiny horse’ as horses found grazing on this plant had exceptionally shiny coats!) It also contains aloe vera leaf juice which soothes and moisturises the scalp, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) which is anti-static and conditioning, and glycerin & olus oil to moisturise.

This fantastic shampoo has a fresh fruity fragrance from pure organic essential oil that revitalises the senses. It is free from all sulphates (SLS, SLES, ammonium lauryl sulphate, sodium coco sulphate), yet still lathers up incredibly well. SLS is a known skin and scalp irritant and is used as a laboratory standard in order to irritate skin because of its ability to penetrate and damage the skin barrier. Instead, our shampoo contains gentle surfactants made from coconut in quantities that do not strip the hair or irritate the scalp.

Our product testers represent all hair types: curly, straight, oily, dry, grey, dyed and ‘normal’ (is there such a thing?) and all have loved it!  This shampoo has quite a history in its formulation, taking us over 2 years to perfect – we were not going to accept anything less than ‘excellent’ for all hair types.  There have been stops and starts along the way but it has been fun getting there!  One of our testers was actually a hairdresser.  They and their clients were so impressed they immediately put in an advance order.

Your hair may need to adjust and detoxify, especially if you have been using sulphate shampoo.  Shine & Strength Shampoo is water activated, so wet your hair thoroughly, massage shampoo in, add a little more water and lather away! (This shampoo will lather well but not foam in abundance like traditional shampoos, don’t worry, it is working!) Follow with our Shine & Strength Conditioner, which works in harmony with our shampoo to further condition and strengthen your hair.

Vegan. Paraben free. Available in small trial sizes and guest sizes too, perfect for the hospitality market.

Directions: Massage a small amount into wet hair. Add extra water as necessary to create lather and rinse off. Avoid getting shampoo into eyes – if this occurs, rinse well with clean water.
